Predictions and Power Rankings Week 1

Predictions and Power Rankings Week 1

Predictions

rn

rn

Every week I pull out my crystal ball and look into the future and see who the football gods have winning this week. Last week they were a little off, but with all the new teams it was difficult for them to know. Let's hope this week they are better at it.

rn

rn

Division 2 (LW 0-2)

rn

rn

Honor Game vs Centurions

rn

This one should be a good one, but I have to go with last season's champs and give Centurions the edge. This is a big game for Honor Game and we will see which team they are when they face some adversity this week.

rn

rn

Centurions vs Jason Rossie Team

rn

Last week Jason had a bunch of studs with him, but he couldn't get it done and this week he won't be as lucky and will be facing a defense that will be flying all over the place.

rn

rn

President's Choice vs Honor Game

rn

This will be a tough game for President's Choice even with Rob knowing the other team. Honor Game have a great line up and a very good defense it will take a few mistakes by Honor Game to even allow Presidents Choice to stay close.

rn

rn

Division 3 (LW 2-3)

rn

rn

Mustard Tigers vs Sriracha All Stars

rn

Mustard Tigers have been playing together for a few seasons now and are very good. They will need to keep the ball away from Marvin when Brian throws. I don't see this as being another blowout, but I can see Sriracha pulling the upset, though Eric will need to feed the ball to Jason and Marvin. If they get taken out then it's over for them.

rn

rn

Good Vibes vs Old School

rn

Old School got bumped down a division and go from being a weaker team to one of the stronger ones in the division. I think Old School walk all over Good Vibes. Good Vibes need to step up and start playing better if they want to make waves in the division. They have solid players, they just need to gel and get on the same page.

rn

rn

Mustard Tigers vs Underdogs

rn

After beating Sriracha earlier in the day, they get to beat up on Underdogs. I can't see how Underdogs pull this one off as Mustard Tigers are solid from top to bottom.

rn

rn

Nice TDs vs Good Vibes

rn

With 2 games under his belt and a top target in Jeremy, JC finds a way to win and get the team rolling. Not sure if it will be him throwing it deep to Jeremy or just hitch passes, but he should feed him the ball until someone stops him. If I was as fast as JC I'd run more and put pressure on the defense.

rn

rn

Iron Wolves vs Les Tannantes

rn

I have to assume Jon will be back under center since he was throwing on Sunday in Brossard. With the roster Iron Wolves have, there is no way they can lose this game and if they do, they are in trouble. That is if Jon is throwing. If he isn't, then it's up in the air as to who wins.

rn

rn

Les Fraises Sauvages vs The Wieners

rn

I'm giving the Wieners the win since they played a better game last week and I recognize two names on the roster. (ed's note: this is also how Vegas makes the spreads)

rn

rn

Division 4 (LW 2-2)

rn

rn

Les Beautes vs Phoenix NA

rn

I don't pick my team games. Sorry to disappoint.

rn

rn

Les Last Calls vs Sneaky Snakes

rn

Sneaky Snakes win in a landslide. This will get ugly quickly as the skill of Sneaky Snake is well above most of the teams in the division.

rn

rn

Flamboyant Flamingos vs Airborne

rn

This was a hard game to pick. Last week Airborne really struggled to catch the ball and make plays. While Flamingos had a hard time not throwing picks. I think that Guillaume is a better QB than Dimitri, but Dimitri has better players around him. I went with Flamingos getting their first win of the season.

rn

rn

Thunder Buddies vs 909 Unicorns

rn

Thunder Buddies should be able to win this game as they have more experience and a stronger roster. I know that Thunder Buddies might be missing players this week, but it shouldn't impact them that much. 909 Unicorns will take time to get better and they showed signs last week, but it was in spurts and it needs to be for an entire game.

rn

rn

Thunder Buddies vs Flamboyant Flamingos

rn

Thunder Buddies should be able to win this game as well. On defense, all their players know what to do and where to be and if not Rob will put them and on offense Terry will be able to run at will, but he shouldn't.

rn

rn

Washington Foreskins vs RawSauce

rn

I never thought that Washington Foreskins would even win a game with a name like that, but they did against an athletic team last week and this week they will face a team that might be a little more organized, but not as athletic. RawSauce got lucky last week with Airborne dropping all those passes.

rn

rn

That's it for my picks. I hope my crystal ball isn't broken and if it is I hope everyone read this far along and has decided to make me look good and win if they are supposed to and lose if I picked them to.

rn

rn

Power Rankings

rn

rn

I do my rankings a little differently and this is what it takes to be on my list. It's not all about wins and losses, the games you should win you better win and games you should lose and kept it close are a good thing. Just because you blow out a weak team doesn't mean you should automatically make my list. Rosters will play a part in my selections. I also would rather see a team effort over a one man show, one man can be stopped, but a team cannot. Now here we go with my first ranking of the year.

rn

rn

Division 2

rn

#1- Outlaws

rn

#2- Centurions

rn

#3- Honor Game

rn

rn

Division 3

rn

#1- Old School

rn

#2- Mustard Tigers

rn

#3- Sriracha All Stars

rn

rn

Division 4

rn

#1- Sneaky Snakes

rn

#2- Thunder Buddies

rn

#3- Phoenix

rn

rn

I can guarantee that things change after this week. There are so many good teams playing one another that there will definitely be movement here.
