Word From The Mouth: The Commissioner Sucks Edition!

Word From The Mouth: The Commissioner Sucks Edition!

Welcome back, I'm glad to hear from some of you on how you feel about what I am writing. Heck I'm just glad to see a few of you guys can actually read. This week we had a few good game along with a few that weren't so good. Hey commissioner, two quick points: get Free agents 1 to decide on a team name and get them some full time players that would be great. (Ed's note: the Free Agent team is merging with the Injured reserves next week, so they'll be a proper team!)

D#Nasty vs Team Bernier

rn

rn

Going into this one I felt that it was going to be one sided affair in favor of D#Nasty, but was I surprised to see the final outcome. After the game Team Bernier asked me if I was going to write anything nice about them. I told them that last week they would have been in my top 3 if they had beaten the team I subbed in at QB for in week 1 more than 10-6 in OT. But now here I am writing about you guys, congratulations on beating the #1 team. Jean put together a very nice game spreading the ball around and not turning it over and that's what it will take to keep on winning. Yes, Team Bernier might not have a go to guy who puts up big numbers but they all do their jobs to help achieve the ultimate goal which is winning. AS for D#Nasty, Kevin had another solid game except for that one throw to Jocelyn who was able to take it back for 6. If you take that throw away and if they go down on that drive and score they would have won the game. But this is football and anything could happen. Moving forward I think both teams will be fine and since they are in same division there will be a rematch. The question becomes will D#Nasty have learnt from this or will Team Bernier be able to have a repeat performance? Only time will tell. Congratulations once again Team Bernier now I'll keep an eye on you guys and see what you can do in the future.

Nice TDs vs Iron Wolves

rn

rn

I was there and watched bits and pieces of this one and I walked away scratching my head. Are the Iron Wolves done? Has everyone figured Jon and his offense out? Is Kris willing to pee in a cup for a drug test? 47 years old on 1 leg tearing it up. He's got to be on something right? Kris if you have the fountain of youth at home bring me a bottle next week I could use some. Now to a more serious note at half time the game was 18 all and was looking to a real good game, what happened? Second half started out with a bang a big 45 strike to Brian who knew he was that quick it also helped that Iron Wolves weren't able to grab a flag for the life of them. On Iron Wolves next possession Jon did what he does and slowly and methodically started marching down the field before turning it over on downs. (Ed's note: I'm not sure "turning it over on downs" was part of the game plan") This next play is what I think put the nail in the coffin. Another big play to Brian, though it wasn't a 45 yard score this one only went for 40 before someone decided they would tackle him this time around. Very next play Kris threw 1 of his 7 TDs on the day. Now at this point Jon is down by 2 scores and needs to try to force the ball down the field which isn't his strong suit and threw one up to where Kris was able to repay the favor of getting an interception, the only difference being that Jon took his for 6. At this point the game was pretty much over. I know that Iron Wolves have a few injuries but this is a real long fall from where they were last season. But it's not all on Jon, other players have not been doing what they have in the past. Catherine needs to step up on both sides of the ball 9 catches 55 yards and only 3 sacks? Last year you were putting these numbers every week. On defense you guys need to get more hands on balls you only have 2 picks and 4 knockdowns. I know you guys are better than this so get your sh*t together before it's too late. For Nice TDs, guys what can I say? Kris you are doing an amazing job spreading the ball, 5 players with 100 yards receiving. Who would have thought that? I know I didn't. The thing I feel you guys are doing well is playing team defense. Good game guys and I'm sure you will be seeing each other again in a few weeks.

Next Weeks GotW: Nice TDs vs Old School

rn

rn

This is a rematch from week 1 where Old School lost, so now they're coming for revenge. Both team have the same record which really means nothing at his point all that matters is getting into playoffs where both these team will end up. I know Old School has gotten better since week 1 but so has Nice TDs. Mathieu has been doing scouting on Nice TDs when he stays at the field after his game or is he just there to hang out and have a good time? This game will be a close one and will come down to who has fewer mistakes. Mathieu will need to have a big game at rusher this week if his team is going to have any chance at winning this one. On Nice TDs side Kris will be the key if they are to win. Keep Old School guessing who is getting the ball and get a pick or two like you have done all year and you have a good chance to win. Good luck to both teams and I hope I get to see this one first hand.

Predictions

rn

Last week was the worst week of my life going 1 for 6. I guess I need to rub that crystal ball a little longer next time. For the season I have gone 13 for 24 wow that's a pathetic 54%. I'm still above 50% but it's not like if I write it that it will happens. Hopefully I do better on this week since we only have 4 games this week. Here we go with this weeks predictions.

I'm glad to see that we have more than 2 games from this division not like in division 1, guess you guys like football more than them. Go out there have fun and be safe. I don't like seeing guys get hurt but most of all I don't like stopping the clock. So if you get hurt we'll drag you off the field and continue playing and if we can't move you we'll put cones up around you and keep on playing. In case you don't know, I'm joking about putting up cones and continuing to play (Ed's note: he's not). I don't have time for that either.
